Hello hello.
Victoria is a designer and photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Victoria’s career in design sort of happened by accident. After graduating in the midst of the Great Recession with a BA in applied linguistics from Georgia State University, she moved home to Memphis and decided on a whim to take a college class on digital art. After the first few weeks, she was hooked.
In 2013, Vic and her then-boyfriend (now husband!) moved back to Atlanta so Vic could complete a second bachelor’s degree in graphic design at Savannah College of Art and Design. Victoria has been working as a designer since her graduation in 2016.
Her design philosophy is pretty simple: make it clean, make it easy, make it beautiful. What attracts her most about design is the human element - how can you make the experience painless? Can you understand what’s difficult or confusing or overwhelming? What makes it simple and helpful for your 22-year-old user and your 62-year-old user? Your devices should work for you, not the other way around.
She believes strongly in form over function and always, always creating
an empathetic user experience.
Fun Facts
Vic’s passionate about photography, dignity for marginalized groups, literary fiction, cancellation of student debt, collecting enamel pins, Hawaiian-style shave ice, and cats. Much like everyone else, she also enjoys the beach, beautiful sunsets, and curling up with green tea and a great book.
Victoria has always loved words and language. One semester of college, she took French, Russian, Latin, and Italian language courses simultaneously. Ask her sometime about graduating with a linguistics degree mid-recession.
